Susan Pauline Gevedon Peyton, age 95, of Peyton Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at her residence.
Born February 14, 1925, in Morgan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Elijah W. Gevedon and Hester Mae Haney Gevedon. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Homer, Jimmy, and Charles Gevedon; three sisters, Eunice Black, Jean Benton, and Mary Jo Gevedon Thompson; and a great grandson, J. D.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Peyton, whom she married November 12, 1965; one son, Jerry C.
Other survivors include five sisters, Evelyn Gevedon, Christine Schmidt, Janice Thompson, and Betty Vinson, all of Mt. Sterling and Lee Benton of Wauconda, Illinois; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Mrs. Peyton was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister.
