Susan Kay (Young) Perry of Canon City, CO was called home on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 5:19 p.m. She recently celebrated her 74th birthday. She loved her family and friends and cherished the time spent together. She loved photography, writing and intellectual conversations. She enjoyed her retirement immensely and left a career from HR, Executive Administration, Radio, Advertising and Sales. She has trained wild horses and written a novel and several children’s stories. Her greatest joy was her family and being a Grandmother. Susan was born and raised in Topeka, KS.
She is survived by her sister, Diane Feldhausen (Bill); daughter, Lindsay (Perry) Cook (Kenneth); son, Matthew Perry; grandsons, Steven Perry and Logan Shoup (Autumn); granddaughter, Sierra Perry; three great-granddaughters, Rin Suriah Perry, Makenzie Shoup and Makaylea Shoup; a nephew, and great nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Susan is preceded in death by her parents, James Allan and Kathryn (Dyer) Young; son, Scott Ashley Perry; and daughter, Lori Marie Perry. She always felt so blessed by her “chosen” family too.
