Susan Kay Hornberger (Kelley), 60, of 1706 State Route 973 West, Cogan Station, died Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Gatehouse surrounded by her family after an 11 month courageous battle with breast cancer.

     Born September 5th 1950 in Renovo, PA she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Charlotte Kelley.  

     Sue was a 1968 graduate of Bucktail Area High School.

     Sue loved going shopping with her daughters.

     Surviving are her soul mate and husband of 28 years Gary E. Hornberger, four daughters Keri L. (Daniel) Gray of Marysville, Michelle K. Hornberger of New Cumberland, Katie A. Hornberger of New Cumberland, and Melissa S. Hornberger of Cogan Station, two grandchildren Jessica and Chelsea and a  great granddaughter Kaitlyn, a brother Gerald Kelley Jr. of Renovo, many nieces and nephews, her Aunt Judy (Lester) Brion of Liberty, father-in-law Ed Hornberger of Cogan Station and her puppy Clifford, and cat Molly whom she loved playing with.

     She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Gerald and Charlotte Kelley, and her mother in law, Betty Hornberger.

     The family would like to especially thank all of Sue’s doctors, nurses and caregivers in her fight against breast cancer. Without our dear friend, Alice Fox, we would not have been able to care for her at home. We are forever indebted to you for your love and care during this difficult time.
