Obituary of Susan Kay Howard
Passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 26, 2019 at Covenant Medical Center at the age of 71. Susan was born September 9, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Arthur and Theresa “Jenny” McClatchey. She was united in marriage to William B. Howard on June 3, 1967 in Saginaw, Michigan.
Susan was the first class to graduate from Douglas Macarthur High School; where she went onto Northwood University and received an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. Susan worked for General Motors in their business administrative department. She then went on to work for Gordon and Gaynard Farnum as a dental assistant and Randall Felsing as an office assistant. Susan finished working at Swan Valley School District as a substitute school teacher.
Susan enjoyed playing bingo, going for rides in the car, going to church, and visiting with her friends at South Colony; where she once resided and spending time outdoors. Susan was also a born again Christian and is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Susan was also a member of Faith Church of the Nazarene, Bay City, Michigan.
Susan is survived by her husband, William; three children Brian Howard, William A. (Cheryl) Howard and Lisa (Brian) Jackson all of Saginaw; four grandchildren, Evan (Olivia) Howard, Nick and Bryce Howard and Brendan Jackson; one great-grandchild, Calvin Howard; sister, Carol (Jim) Major and a nephew, Doug Major. Susan and her son Brian shared a dog named Ethel who she will miss very much.
