Susan Jarre Cramer was born 1932 in Fort Washakie, Wyoming. She grew up in Wyoming, Montana, and Chicago, Illinois. Her family then moved to the Washington DC area, where she spent most of her life in Arlington, Virginia. Susan served in the U.S. Army for two years and then worked as an aide at the Virginia state mental hospital for 20 years. She gave generously to many charities, including to those for battered women and the welfare of animals. She especially loved cats. In her last year of life, she embarked on a new adventure moving to New Orleans to be with her nephew, Paul Cramer. Susan’s brother, Raymond Cramer, Jr., died within hours of his sister. Susan is survived by her brother Curtis Cramer, nephews Raymond Cramer III, Tony Cramer, Paul Cramer, and Ian Cramer, caretakers James McCarthy and Yolanda Hudson, and friend Mary Sanfacon.
