Susan Iris Correa, age 63 years of Niles, Michigan died unexpectedly Monday morning, July 30, 2018 at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana.
She was born on January 19, 1955 in Niles, Michigan to Jose Perez Correa and Edna Marie (Vetter) Correa. She was graduated from Niles High School in 1973, and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University (East Lansing). She had been employed for many years at the Logan Center in South Bend, Indiana where she provided guardianship and protective services for the developmentally and intellectually challenged community. She was dedicated to that community, and often volunteered in supportive activities outside of her work hours.
She is survived by her sister, Clara (& David) Singleton, and brother, William Correa, both of Niles; several nieces and nephews; and a great community of special friends and co-workers at the Logan Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and by a sister, Judith Correa on December 22, 2016, and a brother, Joseph Correa on April 1, 2017.
