Degree in Accounting from the University of Baltimore and she went on to become the Assistant County Auditor for Anne Arundel County. She was a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the A.I.C.P.A. Susan enjoyed horseback riding, reading, and cheering on the Orioles and Capitals. She was an accomplished pianist and a fierce Scrabble player.
Susan is survived by her beloved daughter, Meghan E. Powers (fiancé Ryan Armstrong); her devoted mother, Betty P. Gast; her loving siblings, Beverly Birchfield (husband Larry), Deborah Mignogno, Carol Rainey, and Earl Gast (wife Sibel Berzeg); her cherished horse, Sampson; her former husband, Kevin Powers; and many dear nieces & nephews. Susan was predeceased by her loving father, Earl L. Gast.
