She wore many titles but the ones she adored the most were Mom, Gee Gee, and Mrs. Bowman. Sue married her husband, Frank Bowman, Jr. on January 24, 1970 in Baltimore, Maryland where they established their family.
She would regularly be found on the sidelines of soccer and lacrosse fields, in the audience of dance and theater performances, on the pool deck of swim meets, and at school graduations and events. Gee Gee was her grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader.
Mrs. Bowman was a teacher in the Howard County School System for 25 years where she worked as a Reading Specialist for West Friendship Elementary School. Throughout her career, Mrs. Bowman instilled a love of reading in her students. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Maryland and while teaching, she received her Master’s Degree in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
She enjoyed participating in their activities as her passion was helping others and making a positive impact on her community.
