Susan Elaine Alberts, 71, of Remington, Indiana passed away August 13, 2018 at the Rensselaer Care Center in Rensselaer, Indiana. Sue was born in Rensselaer on July 19, 1947, the daughter of Charles and Martha (Williams) Koebcke.
Sue graduated with the Class of 1965 from Wolcott High School and was a member of the Wolcott Christian Church.
On August 10, 1986, in Wolcott, Sue married Delos “Doc” K. Alberts. Doc preceded her in death on August 3, 2003.
Sue retired from Tri-County Schools where she was a teacher’s aide for 16 years at the Remington Primary School. Sue was an avid fan of Purdue sports and NASCAR.
Surviving are two step-daughters, Vicki (Ron) Ciampa of Port Charlotte, FL and Libby (Mitch) Cheney of Houston, TX, four grandchildren Harry (Morgan) Long, Alexander Cheney, Zachary Cheney, and Kathryn (Colin) Dyroff, sister-in-law Charlene Koebcke of Remington, nephews Curtis Koebcke and Chris (Jennifer) Koebcke and great niece and nephew Kiara and Karson Koebcke. Preceding her in death with her parents and her husband Doc is a brother, Charles Koebcke, who passed away July 12, 2009.
