Susan was born on July 28th, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Robert W. Shelton and Maxine E. (Cooper) Shelton.
Susan was employed at National City Bank as a V.P Trust Officer for 20 years.
Susan adored her grandchildren and creating memories with her family. While at home, Susan could be found crocheting, sewing, and cross stitching. Susan shared her love for music by writing lyrics and singing songs. Bird watching and tending to her fairy garden were other activities that Susan enjoyed while outdoors.
Susan is survived by her seven children, Steven (Peggy) Wessel, Dennis Wessel, Gary (Wilma) Wessel, Max (Tamara) Wessel, Chad (Rhonda) Wessel, Elizabeth Wessel, all of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mark Wessel, of Greenwood, Indiana; her fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; her brother Robert (Sheila) Shelton II, of Greenwood, Indiana.
Susan was proceeded in death by her husband, Eugene Richard Wessel; her grandchild, Thomas Wessel; her parents; her sister, Deborah Shelton.
