Susan Carol James Lyle February 11, 1948 – October 24, 2015, Susan Lyle of Senoia Georgia, formerly of West Palm Beach Florida passed away at Newnan Piedmont Hospital on Saturday, October 24, 2015. Susan was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and was the second of three children to Norman Leslie James and Sara Louise James.

The family moved to West Palm Beach when Sue was a young girl. Sue was raised in Lake Worth and attended Lake Worth High School, Class of 1966. She was a beautiful dancer who own and operated Susan Lyle Studios in West Palm Beach for over 40 years. Susan attended the Royal Academy of Dance in London, UK. She has had several students who have achieved a very high degree of success in the field of professional dance theater. Several students were awarded both state and national championships. One student Eliana Girard gained fame by winning So You Think You Can Dance during the 2012 season and being a dancer on tour with Taylor Swift. In 2010 she sold her beloved dance studio and moved to Georgia to be closer to her only son James Lyle, his wife Elizabeth Lyle, and the four grandchildren, with whom she lived her life; Hannah, Sara, Lindsay, and Aidan. From 2010 until the August of this year Susan taught dance and acrobat at Thomas Crossroads Elementary School, Legacy Studio, and Carrollton School of Dance.

For 47 years Susan dedicated her life to encouraging young dancers to follow their dreams. She was a second mother to many of her students and cared for each of them as if they were her own.

Susan leaves behind one son James, his wife Elizabeth, and her 4 grandchildren; Hannah, Sara, Lindsay, and Aidan. She also leaves to cherish her memory of her brothers Rob and Dian James, and Bill and Cindy James. Nieces and nephews: Kim and Greg Nichols, Kari and Alan Ferguson, Ashley and Darell Gerber, and Matthew and Lorena James. Great nieces and nephews Garrett Blanton Jr., Megan Blanton, Anna Ferguson, Tucker Ferguson, Sara Ferguson, and Andrew James. As Susan always ended a note or letter, two words will always encompass everything she has always been. So with that said Good Bye, and Much Love.
