Mrs. Capozzoli was born on May 13, 1951 in Streator to Raymond and Mary Alice (Voorhees) Kmetz. She married Luigi Capozzoli on September 7, 1974 in St. Joseph’s Church in Peru. She received her LPN at St. Mary’s Hospital in Streator and later worked at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley. Susan was a homemaker of over 40 years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Peru.
Susan was a devoted wife and mother. Susan’s children meant the world to her and her grandkids were the light of her life.
She is survived by her husband of Peru; her three children, Melissa (Jay) Ullrich of Spring Valley, Michael (Jenna) Capozzoli of Chicago and Christina (Nicholas) Wenskunas of Utica; seven grandchildren, Victoria Ullrich, Jaida Ullrich, Francesca Capozzoli, Luca Capozzoli, Aieden Wenskunas, Liam Wenskunas and Hoyt Wenskunas; two sisters, Sally (Larry) Martenson of Princeton and Mimi (Danny) Pangricic of Oglesby and three brothers, Chris (Lynette) Kmetz of Peru, Terry (Betty) Kmetz of LaSalle and Mark (Robin) Kmetz of Dalzell.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
