Susan Charlton of Pueblo West, Colorado passed away unexpectedly surrounded by loved ones on March 14, 2018. Susan was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey March 15, 1943 to Edward and Yolanda Mangeot. She graduated from New Brunswick High School and obtained a degree in Secretarial Studies from Berkeley College in East Orange, New Jersey. Susan met her husband to be Richard on a ski club trip to Vermont in 1969. They would marry 2 years later and settle there in Essex Center, where they raised their 2 children. During her 40 year career as an executive assistant she worked for RCA Semiconductor Corporation, IBM and Fluor Daniel. In 2003 Susan and Richard retired to Colorado, which had been the destination for several family vacations. She was active in the local breast cancer survivor group there, through St. Mary Corwin Hospital. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, her favorite pastimes included quilting, sewing, watching figure skating and the Denver Broncos. She was also a proud Collie Mom to four beloved dogs over the years – Kelly, Penny, Shamus and Buster. Susan will be remembered for her generous nature, dry sense of humor and bright smile that would light up the room. Susan is survived by Richard Charlton of Pueblo West, her husband of 46 years; her son and daughter-in-law Matt and Carey Charlton of Lakewood, CO; her daughter Karin Charlton of Colchester, VT; her granddaughter Olivia Perron of Colchester, VT, and brother Frank Mangeot of New Castle, CO.
