Sunday U. Ezidinma
Sunday U. Ezidinma, 83, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on Saturday, October 16th, 2021, after a brief illness, at the Swedish Medical Center, in Englewood, Colorado.
Born in Umuobiala, Isuikwuato, Abia State, Nigeria, on June 22, 1938, Sunday was the son of the late Johnson and Sarah Ezidinma. He was introduced to Christianity at an early age and lived the life of a devout Christian throughout his journey on earth.
After completing his standard six education at Eluama Methodist School, Sunday was selected and trained as a teacher by the Methodist Missionaries. He was deployed at Methodist Central School, Ezzamgbo, Ebonyi State in Nigeria where he taught for two years.
Sunday’s passion for photography led him to Jos, Plateau State, where he established a photography studio business. He came to the U.S.
During his eventful professional accountant life, Sunday worked for Samsonite, Mohammed Inuwa Wushishi, a retired Nigerian Army Lieutenant General who served as Chief of Army Staff in Nigeria’s Second Republic and was self-employed for several years.
Sunday was a devoted “father” to his four children, Joy Nkechi (Chicago, IL), Ndidi (Madison, WI), Victor Chima (Aurora,CO) and Phoebe Afoma (Willmet, IL), their spouses and her five grandchildren. He had a zest for life and was supportive, caring, and funny. He found enjoyment in sports, spending time with his grandchildren, and conversing with friends and family.
In addition to his four children, Drs. Nkechi, Ndidi, Afoma (daughters), and Chima (son), five grandchildren: Alexis, Preston, Marshall, Aidan and Adeline; two sons-in-law, Brian Yaucher, and Martin Linck; Sunday is survived by a host of siblings, including Ahanonu, Emei, Emeka, Onyebuchi, Onwanma Ogbonna, Grace Uzodinma, Mercy Irobuchi, Peace Onuoha, Joy Madubuike, and Theresa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah, and many other relatives.
