Summer Kylene Gibney, a Registered Nurse and life-long resident of Cocoa Beach, FL, died unexpectedly on January 6, 2016.
Summer is survived by her daughter Alyssa Whitsett, who was the light of her life. She is also survived by her parents, Mercedes Greene Gibney and Donald Gibney; her brother, Chad W. Gibney; and her loving partner, Charles Hubbard Williams III. She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Summer was born December 17, 1979, at Cape Canaveral Hospital. Before graduating from the University of Central Florida with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she graduated from Cocoa Beach High School with the class of 1998.
Summer was a devoted mother to her beautiful daughter, Alyssa Whitsett. In her spare time she loved running, boating, and “beach time”. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
