Sue Kennedy passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the age of 80 in Eagle River Alaska.
Sue was born on January 12, 1939, in Taipei, Taiwan. In 1967 Sue married Roy Kennedy who was stationed there with the U.S. Air Force. They were also later stationed in California, Nebraska, Hawaii, and South Dakota. While in Nebraska, they brought their children Dawn and Sean into the world. Roy retired from the Air Force in 1978, and in 1980 they came to Alaska seeking opportunities for their family.
Sue spent many years working at the commissary on Elmendorf and left behind many cherished friends there. Sue was a skilled artist with thread and beads and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her two children and four grandchildren.
