M. Sue (Bradford) Coultas, 68, of Elkhart, passed away at home on Thursday, March 17, 2016. She was surrounded by the love of her family. She was born September 7, 1947 in Bowman AR to Raymond Russell and Mary Jane (Collins) Bradford. She spent many years in the Elkhart area where she attended Jimtown High School.
In 1964 she moved back to Arkansas where she met the love of her life, Jack Coultas, while he was serving in the United States Army. After a short courtship they were married on September 5, 1964. They later moved back to Jack’s home state of Illinois where they lived in Barry and raised their son, Tracy and daughter, Zanetta. In 1992 they moved back to the Elkhart area.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Coultas of Elkhart; son, Tracy (Allison) Coultas of Warner Robins, GA; daughter, Zanetta Meredith of Elkhart; 3 sisters, Sarah Jane McKenna, Linda Carol (Brycie) Kemper and Brenda Kay (Gene) Kemper; 1 brother, Raymond Floyd (Janette) Bradford; 6 grandchildren, Evan Glasgow, Trenton Meredith, Colton Meredith, Justin (Megan) Coultas, Derick Coultas and Niall Walsh; 3 great-grandchildren, Emily Meredith, Jaxon Coultas and Madeline Coultas; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews whom she dearly loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 brother, Robert C. Bradford and 1 sister, Elizabeth M. Bradford.
Sue’s love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She often spent hours just visiting and laughing with loved ones. She also loved to sew, write poetry, making crafts and anything to do with home decor. She enjoyed watching the birds and wildlife outside of their home, her favorite being hummingbirds and cardinals.
