Sue E. Campbell, age 68, formerly of Hopewell, IL, passed away peacefully at 5:00 am on Thursday, April 7, 2022, while in hospice care at her sister’s home in Washington, IL.
On July 19, 1953, she was born in Peoria, Illinois, to Leonard and Louise Ealey. She married Frank Campbell Sr on June 5, 1971, in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death in 2015 in Hopewell, IL.
Sue was a 1971 graduate of Peoria Central High School. She retired from Caterpillar in 2015 as an IT Security Specialist.
Surviving are her children Frank (Megan) Campbell of Germantown Hills, IL, Rachel (Matt) Stanton of Stevens Point, WI, John Campbell of Peoria, IL, Heather (Robert) McCarty of Washington, IL; twelve grand-children: Madeleine and Emma Campbell; Joshua, Kaitlyn, and Brooke Stanton; Jonathan, Ryley, Collin, Annabelle, and Benjamin McCarty; Samarah and Michael Campbell, whom she adopted as her own children; and three siblings: brother Leonard (Janet) Ealey, sister Cindy (Ivan) Burkhalter, and brother Scott (Corrine) Ealey.
