Sue Ann Davisson Ergenbright, age 81, of Sardis, WV, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022 in Hardy, VA at the residence she shared with her son, daughter in law, and grandchildren. She was born on November 2, 1940 in Wilsonburg, WV, and the only child of Ralph and Dona Davisson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Donna.
She is survived by her only child, Brett Alan Ergenbright, daughter in law, Amanda Ebie Ergenbright, and three grandchildren, Tyler, Aidan, and Hope.
Sue was a graduate of Victory High School and Madison College. She retired after teaching at Covington High School for nearly 30 years, and began traveling internationally. She was also active in the Business and Professional Women’s association, and served as the state’s president.
She enjoyed crocheting and loved tutoring children at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Roanoke, VA, and never stopped touching the lives of others, from her decades with high school students to the friends she met in the twilight of her life. Two of whom are Brenda and Pollyanna. Her son and his family are forever grateful for the love and care they showed Sue Ann while helping her transition from this physical realm.
