Stuart “Stu” W. Romaneschi, 81, of Boise, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017.
Stuart was born December 7, 1935 in Olympia, Washington to Walter and Connie Romaneschi. Stuart grew up in Everett WA., graduate of Everett High School and continued to the University of Washington where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
Stu worked in Seattle after college until he and his father purchased a restaurant and bar in Quincy, WA, known as “The Turf”. During these early years, Stu made wonderful friendships with local farmers and community members which remain strong today.
After selling the restaurant, Stu moved to Wenatchee, WA, where he sold real estate until finding his career passion in the title insurance business with Transamerica. In 1974, Stu was transferred to Boise, ID with Safeco Title. He later purchased Commonwealth Title Company and spent the balance of his career in the title Business. After retiring, he continued to audit title companies for the State of Idaho. Many of Stu’s most cherished friendships are from his title work throughout the state.
Stu was a member of the Mortgage Bankers Assoc., Home Builders Assoc., and Crane Creek Country Club. Stu thoroughly enjoyed the game of golf with many friends and colleagues. His personal highlight was having the opportunity to play with Jack Nicklaus and Gay Brewer. Stu’s quick wit and stories always kept us laughing. He was an excellent home cook known for his famous bar-b-que ribs.
Throughout their 37 years together, Stu and Sandi enjoyed memorable travels of Europe, Hawaii and sailing in the Virgin Islands. Time spent on Maui with family created many of his best memories.
Stu is lovingly remembered by his wife Sandi of Boise, ID, a son Robert and DeVonne Romaneschi, 2 grandsons Ray and Erin, and great grandson Gavin of Peoria, AZ., Son Daniel & Rene Cobb, grandchildren Christian, Greg (Jordan), Bob and great granddaughter Season of Middleton, ID Son David and Theresa and granddaughters Meghan and Alexis Cobb of Boise, daughter Jill and Todd Cralley, grandchildren Ryan, Donald and Faith of Santa Maria, CA. son Douglas and Erka Cobb of Boise, ID. And a sister Patricia Dulin of Marysville, WA.
