Stewart Kenneth Smith Jr. “Smitty” of Odenton, formerly of Towson, passed away on February 7, 2016 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. He was born in Cumberland on May 11, 1944 to the late Martha and Stewart K. Smith Sr. Smitty served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was also a POW. He was employed with Villa Julie College as a Master Maintenance Engineer for 15 years. He was a longtime member of the Liberty Masonic Lodge #219 in Towson. Smitty enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing video games.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Martha Snyder and Laura Grumbach. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Diane; son, Stewart Kenneth Smith III and his wife Blanca; sister, Norma J. Pons and her husband Michael; three step-sons, Michael, Timothy and Kevin Warner; step-grandchildren, Lindsay, Heather, Brandon and Lexxus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
