Stevenson Cooper departed this life on August 09, 2010. He was born October 23, 1954 to the late Richard and Addie Owens-Cooper. He was educated in the Virginia Beach Public School System and was employed by the City of Virginia Beach. He was an extraordinary man and he possessed a warmth and charm that was irresistible. He believed in keeping God first. He was wise in the word of God and didnt mind sharing his knowledge with anyone. He extended uncommon compassion and love for family, friends, and people in general, always willing to go that extra mile to help anyone in need. He was truly an independent, resourceful and a generous, fun-loving person. He was truly a man in touch with God through the deepest wellspring of spiritual wisdom. His ecumenical spirit spoke to people from all walks of life, and the walls of home are echoing with kind words for happy hearts he places upon. He was an indomitable believer who couldnt be turned around, blocked or stopped by anything when it came to God and His family. He was deemed unique from his inception at birth, transversing a significant transition in his life, perceptive, creative and fulfilled. Stevie believed that if you had the mind to think ityou could do it. If you had the desire to learn ityou could achieve it. If you had the determination to complete itit was finished. He finished his journey on earth and is now resting in the arms of God.

He was a devoted Father, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Grandfather, cousin, and friend, who walked and talked unity and wanted his family to be strong in God first as well as to one another. He had a unique way of keeping his family aligned and shared well-known phrases to that effect. Disco will surely be missed. He was predeceased by a brother Norman Cooper. Left to cherish his precious memories are a daughter LaKeysha Ann Reddick, 2 sisters Barbara Ann Lewis, and Phyllis Bly (Nathan), 3 brothers Larry (Mary), Tyrone, and Blair Cooper all of Virginia Beach, 3 grandchildren Natiya, Heaven, and Thomas III, a God Daughter Tasha Renee Reddick, a special Godmother Mrs. Arlene Drake, 2 special friends Joseph and Jack Kane, 7 nieces, 4 nephews, 2 aunts, 2 uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He will be remembered as a man of faith, courage, and wisdom and lovetruly a man effective, efficient, energetic and endowed through all endeavors.
