Mr. Steven Wayne Shivers, 71 of Valley, Al., passed away on Sunday February 23, 2014 at EAMC-Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley.
Mr. Shivers is survived by his daughter, Melissa Hughes of Roanoke, AL; grandchildren, Nancy Kirk and Jennifer Hughes; great grandchildren, Dylan Kirk and Ashlyn Kirk; mother, Evelyn Davis Shivers McQuiston of Valley; sister Cynthia Cougill of LaFayette, Al; niece, Kia Westwood; uncle, Wilbur Davis of Valley and 5 aunts. He was preceded in death by his father Clinton D. Shivers and his brother John Shivers.
Mr. Shivers was born on July 2, 1942 in Chambers County Al. He lived in the Chambers Co. area most of his life and had been in declining health for the past several years. He was formerly employed with the Chambers Co. Sheriff’s Department.
