Steven “Steve” Bell, 62, of Canon City, CO passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at his home in Canon City, CO. Steve had been battling cancer for approximately one year prior to his death. He was born on October 18, 1959, in Canon City at St. Thomas More Hospital to Benjamin and Laura (Foote) Bell. Steve attended McKinley Elementary School, Canon City Junior High, and CCHS, where he graduated in 1978.
Steve worked for three years at Ace Hardware before serving as a Deputy with the Fremont County Sherriff’s office. After three years with the FCSO, Steve worked another 10 years at Cotter Mill as a front-end loader operator and site security officer. Steve finished his career working for Linder Chevrolet.
Steve is survived by his father, Benjamin (Misty Dawn) Bell; brothers, David (Edith) Bell and Darren (Jessie) Bell; daughter, Shawna Marie Bell; and granddaughter Adelina Bell. He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura (Foote) Bell; paternal grandparents, Benjamin Bell Sr. and Gertrude (Murray) Bell; and maternal grandparents, H. Grant Foote and Bessie (Laymen) Foote.
