Steven Edward “Steve” Cocot, 41, of North Liberty, passed away at 5:43 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend after an extended illness.
He was born on Aug. 4, 1971, in Monticello, N.Y., to Edward J. and Kathleen K. (Kahn) Cocot.
Surviving are his son, Matthew Foschino of Monticello; a brother, Brian M. Cocot of Carlisle; mother Kathleen K. “Kathy” Mann of Elkhart; his significant other, Shirley Wingert of North Liberty; and his former spouse and friend, Dianne Cocot.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward.
Steve was a diesel mechanic in the Michiana area for many years and was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast.
