Steven (Steve) Ron Edward Cornwell, age 47, of Canon City, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021, surrounded by his family.
Steve was born on December 22, 1973, to Ronald and Linda Cornwell in Carson City, California. He was raised with his siblings, David, Barbara, Rhonda, Mary, and Donna.
Steve married the love of his life, Charlene Cornwell on October 28, 1995. Together they had five beautiful children, Janae (Spencer), Jacob, Jesiah aka Si, Jenna, and Jace. He was also the proud poppi of Teigan, Roman, and Renley. Steve loved being a husband, dad, and poppi more than anything in this world.
Steve dedicated many years of his life to providing well for his family. He was a master mechanic and ran his own successful auto inspection business for several years.
Steve loved being outdoors. His favorite pastimes were playing and watching sports with his children, camping, fishing, and riding dirt bikes. Although his spirit was vibrant and strong, his body slowly wore out, and eventually, he was left disabled and unable to work.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene; five children and son-in-law, Spencer; three grandchildren; father-in-law, Richard; five siblings and brother-in-law, Mike (Casey); as well as several nieces and nephews. Steve is also survived by his special mother figures, Lesley Bursha and Carol Stone. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Linda.
