On September 7, 2011, Steven Ray Andrews of Little River-Academy, in the comfort of his own home, peacefully left this world and entered the gates of heaven after battling cancer for 18 months, never losing his Spirit or Faith. He was born in Temple to the late Benjamin Harmen Andrews and Brenda Miller Andrews, and raised in Little River-Academy with four brothers and three sisters. He attended Academy schools where he made many life long friends, and excelled in football and basketball. He was also voted Most Athletic his Senior year.

Shortly after his graduation he went to work for McLane Company and was a loyal, dependable employee for over 13 years until he took the opportunity to take his incredible work ethic to Wilsonart International where he remained until he was diagnosed with cancer in March of 2010. He married his high school sweetheart, Missy Ashby on September 17th, 1982 and they welcomed their first son Anthony on March 10, 1983, shortly followed by Ben in 1985 and eight years later, the baby boy,’ Colby. His loves for sports continued throughout his adulthood. He was an avid, unwavering Dallas Cowboy Fan and a newly converted Texas Ranger Fan. Steve truly loved spending time with family and friends. His favorite past times were fishing, camping, throwing washers and horseshoes, and enjoying the simple things in life.

He was preceded in death by his Father Benjamin Harmen Andrews, his beloved grandmother Opal Miller, grandparents Adrian Miller and Annabelle and Wylie James Andrews. He is survived by his wife, three sons and daughter-in-law, Jessica Andrews, his parents Brenda White Andrews and Ronnie White and brothers and sisters: Randy (Pooh) Andrews, RJ White, Bubba White and wife Robin, Gina White, Jodi Brazeal and husband JP, Jason, Rhonda Alexander and husband Travis. Five grandchildren: Callie, Chase, Addyson, Brielle and Michael. Adoring Mother-in-Law Nonie and nine nieces and nephews: Kandace, Brent, Kaden, Haegen, Taytum, Josh, Jenna, Scout, Kaylee, and Raegen. Loving in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
