Steven R. D’Amato, 28, of Toms River, NJ entered into eternal peace on Saturday September 10th, 2016. He was born in Passaic, NJ and lived in Toms River, NJ. He was an avid Rutgers football fan, thanks to his grandfather, Robert J. D’Amato. Not only was he himself a gifted athlete, excelling in every sport he participated in, he was also the MVP at High Point Regional High School in Sussex, NJ.
It was here that he was the first freshman to make the varsity teams for both football and wrestling. He was someone who had many talents, which he so generously shared with everyone he met without a second thought. Steven was an amazing father figure not only to his own children, but to all children that entered his life. Steven was and always will be remembered as a comedian, handy-man, Jack of all trades and especially the family protector.
Surviving are his parents, Debra D’Amato and Leon Berry; his life long love, Kristin Jump of Toms River, NJ; his daughters, Arianna and Gabriella of Toms River, NJ; his sister Jillian D’Amato and s/o James of Jackson, NJ; his nieces Gianna, Piera, Natalia and his nephew Chase; and his half brother Robert Johannemann and family.
