Kane). Devoted father of Abbey Garcia (Daniel), Taylor, Alyssa, and Steven
Petner. Loving grandfather of Daniel and Ashlynne Garcia. Dear brother of
Graceann Hoover, Maryellen Butler, Kathryn Petner and Janet Gasser.
Dear uncle of Jacob Hoover, Rachel Feuerhammer, James Feuerhammer,
Ryan Butler, Amanda Semple, Michael Semple, Jesse Bahr, Christie Crookston,
Justin Metviner and Jake Metviner.
Steve was a beloved member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints where he volunteered and held various church callings. He was a
Board Certified 34 IAABO basketball referee.
basketball and umpiring baseball and softball games. He loved working with
the kids and spent many years coaching with Washington Township basketball,
softball and football youth organizations. Steve will be remembered as a
kind-hearted, fun-loving man who loved his family more than anything. He
loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was a devoted
husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed terribly by his family, friends,
church family, and all who knew and loved him.
Steve will be honored and remembered privately by his family due to the
current health crisis caused by COVID-19.
