Steve L. Capener, 65, passed away July 18, 2022, in Plain City, Utah. He was born March 31, 1957, to Lowell and Fayne Capener in Ogden, Utah.
Steve attended and graduated from Ben Lomond High School. He married Jan on August 9, 1996, in Bountiful Temple, and they enjoyed 26 years together. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served callings as Branch Presidency at the Gardens Branch, High Counselor, Ward Clerk and High Priest. He worked at Thiokol, Autoliv and Hill Air Force Base.
Steve was a hunter, a fisherman, loved being out in his fishing boat, an outdoorsman, a golfer, loved westerns, baseball and football, the Yankees and the Packers. He loved spending time with his family and grandkids and playing Dominoes.
Steve is survived by his wife Jan; sons Chad (Jennifer), Ryan, Michael, and Jared; shared children with Jan: Nicholas (Kinley) Child, Melissa Presley, Emily (Shayne) Sagendorf and Quintin (Kristy) Child; parents Lowell and Fayne Capener; siblings Gina Murray, Kelly (Jaime) Capener and Monte (Carrie) Capener; and 15 grandchildren Tyson, Kenzie, Ashton, Rylin, Caden, Cambree, Axton, Dax, Parley, Blaydn, Taycie, Aynslie, Jayden, Alexxa, Justin. He is preceded in death by his parents-in-law Ed and Louise Cooper and his brother in-law Steve Murray.
