Steven Altomare, age 52, of Homeworth, died at 4:39 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Alliance Community Hospital. He was born December 20, 1963, in Salem, Ohio, the son of Geraldine A. (Cross) Altomare and the late John Edward Altomare Sr.
He worked at Timken Steel Harrison Ave in Canton as a Bar Finisher for 13 years. Steven was a 1982 graduate of United Local High School and a Christian by faith. His grandchildren were his whole life. He was also an avid Philadelphia Flyers hockey fan.
He was in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his mother, Geraldine Altomare of Salem; a daughter, Krista Phillips of Homeworth; three grandchildren, Charity Glista, Blake Carman and Brayden Carman; two nieces, Crystal and Jamie Altomare; a great niece, Rylee Johnson and a great nephew, Zane John, whom he loved very much; and his girlfriend, Jenny Petkash.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, John E. Altomare Jr.
