Steven Douglas Bakke, age 68, passed away on September 14, 2021 after a final battle with cancer. After growing up in Aurora, Steve went on to graduate from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Steve devoted over 20 years teaching the kids at CHCC the good news of Jesus Christ. He loved life, the outdoors, soccer, and the Denver Broncos.
He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Erika, mother Janet, siblings Judy and David. In addition, he leaves behind numerous friends and community members that will miss his sense of humor and compassion.
