Steven James Davis passed away on March 13, 2016, at his home. He was born to Jimmy and Sandra Davis on November 12, 1965.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Christine Faver and Cecil and Grace Davis, and uncles Billy Hopson and Billy Warren. He was a member of Sargent Baptist Church. Steve graduated from West Georgia College. He worked in the Coweta County Tax Assessors Office and later served for several years as Assistant Planner for Coweta County. A talented athlete, Steve enjoyed playing many sports including Little League Baseball, Church softball, and Rec League football and basketball. As an adult he remained an avid sports fan, following all the Atlanta teams as well as many others. He was willing to quote statistics if you were willing to ask. Steve was also a Civil War enthusiast and had quite an extensive library of Civil War books.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Sharon Davis Roy and her husband Dan; nephew Matthew Roy; niece Kendall Roy, aunts Jean Hopson and Elaine Warren, and cousin Wes Warren and his wife Kelly.
