On Monday, January 27th, 2020, Steven Coy Place, a loving husband and father of five children, passed away at the age of 48.
Steven was born on July 14th, 1971 in Grand Junction, CO to Coy and Martha (Garner) Place. He was a very proud man. He always worked hard even from a young age. His first love was being a masonry worker, his second a Truck Driver. He always made people laugh and a was collector of Nascar.
On August 11th, 2017 he married his soulmate, Valery Lynn Vargas. They had together three daughters, Cortney, Hanna and Vanessa, and two sons, James and Mitch. He had passion for fishing, sports, having fun with family and friends, and making sure his family was taken care of. He was a very kind and compassionate spirit who always had a smile on his face.
He is preceded in death by his father, Coy; mother, Martha, and his sister Cheryl.
He is survived by his wife, Valery; altogether, five children, Cortney, Hanna, Vanessa, James and Mitch; sisters, Lisa and Colleen; brother, Tom, along with cousins, niece’s and nephews, aunts and uncle, and several grandchildren.
