Steven Allen “Big A” Adams, 68, Shelbyville, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in Lebanon, TN while on a job. A native of Shelbyville, he was the son of the late Charles and Lilly Frances Newman Adams. He graduated from Shelby County High School.
He was a truck driver for more than 50 years by profession, hauling heavy equipment, livestock and produce. He also previously operated a bulldozer, worked for EMS and worked for the Shelby County Jail. In his leisure time, he enjoyed drag racing cars and had a pulling truck, known as “Doorslammer”.
In addition to his parents, the mother of his children, Adeline Faye Ernspiker Schorck, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, James Allen Adams and Eric Dale Adams; two stepsons, Clayton Jesse (Becky) and Jody Jesse (Missy); three grandchildren, Seth Allen Adams, Ethan Xavier Adams and Emily Renae Adams and one great-granddaughter, Maesyn Adams, all of Shelbyville.
