Steve Shane Wilson, 49, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 in his residence. He was born December 28, 1962 in Terre Haute to Walter L. “Jack” Wilson and Betty A. Long Wilson.
Steve was a 1981 graduate of Terre Haute South High School. He worked as a roofer. He was a life- long resident of Terre received the Youth Appreciation Award on November 28, 1978 and in 1979, at age 15, he received the Chief of Police Award for rescuing a woman from a burning house. He loved gardening and being outdoors, especially fishing, hunting mushrooms and cooking out on the grill. His favorite color was blue. Everybody in the neighborhood loved him, they all looked out for each other.
Steve is survived by his parents; a brother, Jackie G. Wilson of Terre Haute; sisters, Tina Martin, Angela Wilson Dudley and Diana Wilson, all of Terre Haute and several nieces and nephews.
