Steve Castleman, age 59 of Centralia, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Odin Health Care, Odin, IL. Steve was born on November 1, 1955 in Ft. Meade, Maryland, a son to Richard and Mary Ann (Bierman) Castleman. On February 14, 1988 he married Terri (Montacue) Castleman in Las Vegas, Nevada and she survives. In addition to his wife,.

Steve is also survived by two sons, Matthew Castleman and special friend Monica Harre, of Vandalia, IL and Ryan Castleman and wife Annie of Centralia, IL; a step- son, John Andrews of Centralia, IL; a brother, Mike Castleman and wife Tracy of Shawnee, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Reagan Castleman, Charlie Castleman, Jordan Castleman, Kaid Walker, Hattie Castleman, Tillie Castleman, Zamora Andrews and Rhea Young; his first wife, Sue Castleman, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Steve was a member of Greenview Christian Church in Centralia.

For the past nine years, he worked for United Methodist Children’s Home as a mental health specialist, however he has worked for other children’s homes for over 30 years. He was a member of BEARS and the Elks, where he served as a past Exalted Ruler. He loved animals and enjoyed golf and watching sports but most of all he was a fanatic St. Louis Cardinals fan.
