Sterial Stacy, 76 of Elkton, MD, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD.
He was born in Blackey, VA, on May 29, 1939. Mr. Stacy was the beloved husband of 56 years of Freda M. Stacy.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. Self-employed, he worked painting and wallpapering for many years.
Mr. Stacy was a member of the Moose Lodge, New Castle Co., DE; enjoyed watching western movies and cooking. He loved being outside doing yard work and taking care of his vegetable garden, sharing the fruits of his labor with those he loved.
In addition to his loving wife, survivors also include: 4 children: Carla Parker of Long Neck, DE, Brian Stacy, Drema Dean and Tammy Evans all of North East, MD; 6 sisters: Dolores Mongun of Ft. Valley, VA, Vaugel Church of Statesville, NC, Linda Roberts of Hanover, WV, Edna Moran of Bluefield, WV, Marie Dougherty of Hanover, VA, Sarah Riffey of Bluefield, WV ; 3 brothers: Kermit Stacy of Hanover, WV, Carl Stacy of Hanover, WV, Corman Stacy of Wilmington, DE; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Laura (Mullins) Stacy; and 3 brothers: Roy Mullins, Van Mullins and Estil Stacy.
