Stephen Friedman, 63, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed awayThursday, February 25, 2021 at 1:25 am. His final days were spent surrounded by those he loved most, his friends and family.
Stephen is survived by Karen, his loving wife of 34 years, and his two sons, Joe and Seth; his mother Myra, his sisters Jeri (Bill) and Lisa (Mat), sister in laws Lorraine (John), Deborah,brother-in-law Terry (Pam) and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Donald.
Stephen was born on November 12, 1957 in Burlingame, California to Donald and Myra Friedman. He graduated from Niles North High School in 1975 and received a degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Urbana. He had a long career, beginning as a Certified Public Accountant, leading into his role as Chief Financial Officer of Decision One Data, Partner in Mechanical Breakdown Assistance Corp. and CFO of Marc Realty. He enjoyed mentoring those around him, and was admired and respected by his coworkers.
Stephen loved watching and playing sports, a trait inherited from his father. He was an avid golfer and spent many days on the course with his close friends. Most of all, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and many friends.
