Born Dec. 20, 1923, in Bellevue, Pa., he was the son of Vendel Paul and Mary Margaret Herbert Shedlock. He was married Jan. 3, 1980, in Logansport, to Margaret M. Gross Neal, who survives.
Mr. Shedlock was the proprietor of S&J Dry Cleaners in Rochester. He then worked until last year for Sunshine Cleaners in Rochester.
A veteran of the U.S.
Steve was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3790, where he was past commander. He was also past commander at Post 1343, Rochester, before transferring membership to Logansport. He was VFW second district past commander and past adjutant for Logansport and the second district.
Steve also belonged to the American Legion Post 60, VFW National Home, Indiana Sheriffs Association, and 40 & 8 Voiture.
Also surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Mickey D. and Jan Shedlock, Alvin, Texas, and Rickey and Carol Shedlock, Rock Island, Tenn.; stepdaughters, Peggy Morter and her husband, Robert, Mishawaka, Rita Clayton and her husband, Dave, Logansport, and Judith Loy and her husband, Lee, Kewanna; stepsons, Mark Neal and his wife, Sheila, Muscatine, Iowa, and James Neal, Bristol; six grandchildren, Michelle Heuck, Winamac, Steve Shedlock, Ohio, Doug Shedlock, Friendswood, Texas, and Ricky, Melissa and Edwina Shedlock, Rock Island, Tennessee; and numerous great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie K. Kennedy; his twin brother, Paul Shedlock; and his half brother, Ed Shedlock.
