Stephen Howard Boyd, 79, of Anderson, passed away on December 10, 2020, at his residence. He was born on December 15, 1940, in Anderson, the son of Clarence and Doris (Catt) Boyd. Steve graduated from Anderson High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Steve retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors after 40 years of service, having worked as a forklift operator. He was an avid fan of the Anderson Indians, Chicago Cubs, and the Colts. Steve enjoyed shooting pool his entire life. Steve is survived by his children, Deborah (John) Owens, Robert Jones, Angela Boyd, Stephen Gregory (Kelley) Boyd, and Douglas Boyd; grandchildren, Jeremey (Yuliya) Day, Joshua (Renee’) Day, Jerrica Owens, Kati Paschal, Jonathan Boyd, Kimberly Boyd, and Townsend Boyd; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Day, Colton Day, Levi Roberts, Lucas Owens, Ava Day, Jayce Day, Jaxson Day, Ella Day, Easton Boyd, and Beau Barrett; siblings, Patricia Junkersfield, Christine Davis, and Phillip Boyd; and several nieces and nephews.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Jean Hope; son, Richard Jones; granddaughter, Dallas Roberts; siblings, Gary Boyd, Michael Boyd, and Mary Dawn Bowling.
