Stephen Haskell Wolf, 70, passed away on August 18, 2011, at his home.
Steve was born on September 11, 1940, in Kansas City, MO. He grew up in Quinter, KS, and attended Fort Hays State University and the University of Kansas. A lifelong Jayhawks fan, Steve enjoyed watching Kansas basketball.
A Major in the US Air Force, Steve served in the Office of Special Investigations until his retirement in 1985. Steve was a linguist and was fluent in Spanish, Italian, and German. Over the years, he was stationed in Germany, Italy, Washington DC, and California. He and his family moved to Colorado in 1988, where he worked for Lockheed Martin. Steve loved good food, collecting wine, fantasy baseball, golf, growing tomatoes and peppers in his back yard, and his four cats. He looked forward to family vacations on Hilton Head Island.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sallie P. Wolf, aunt and uncle Leslie and Daphene Boring, daughter Sharon Newton (Todd), Amy Lovell (Jason), and grandchildren Elias, Esmee, and Alexander.
