Stephen F. Latowski, 98, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Sunday May 8, 2022. He was born on April 1, 1924 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Stephen C. and Margaret (Chudzicki) Latowski. On August 2, 1947 in St. Matthew’s Cathedral, he married R. Estella Mosher who preceded him in death on December 8, 2016. He was also preceded in death by one son, Robert Latowski, one grandson, Campbell Evans, one great-great grandson, Jaden Garrett and two sisters, Delores Bock and Jeanette Tobolski. Stephen is survived by two sons, John Latowski of Mishawaka, Indiana, Donald (Barbara Wilson) Latowski of South Bend, Indiana, four daughters, Maggi (Bud) Garrett of South Bend, Indiana, Diana (Fred) Evans of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Patricia (David) Strebinger of South Bend, Indiana, Carol (Bruce Houghtby) Latowski of Sharon, Wisconsin, sixteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, eighteen great-great grandchildren and one sister Evelyn (John) Kilber of Elkhart, Indiana.

Stephen was a member of Holy Cross Church. He graduated from Central High School in South Bend in the class of 1941.  He was a WWII Army Veteran 135th Infantry, he was discharged as a tech Sgt. Stephen graduated from Purdue University in 1949 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.  He was a member of American Legion Post 357, charter member of Vermillion Greens Golf Course of Buyck, Minnesota. He spent his summers up at the family cabin Crane Lake, Minnesota. This was his favorite place to be, he especially enjoyed spending time fishing on the lake.

Cremation has taken place.
