Stephen F. Fiore of Woodbridge, beloved husband of Barbara Piascik Fiore passed away at St. Raphael’s Hospital on Saturday April 30, 2011. Loving father of Michele Fiore and Stephen (Lisa) Fiore. Brother of Angela (John) Pacilio of West Haven, Barbara (Ralph) Celotto of New Haven, Sister Elizabeth Fiore of NY and Anthony (Barbara) Fiore of AZ. Proud grandfather of Nicholas, Matthew and Talia, also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was born in New Haven, April 17, 1933, son of the late Angelo and Elizabeth DelBuco Fiore. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. For over 45 years Steve was the owner of Fiore Travel Agency in West Haven. He was a member and past president of the Italian American Club in West Haven, coach, champion and past president of the Woodbridge Father’s Baseball League, a member and past president of the CT American Society of Travel Agents and served on the Z.B.A. of Woodbridge. In his youth, he was a player and coach of many softball championship teams. Steve was an avid Red Sox fan, loved cooking, family picnics, UCONN Women’s basketball, going to the casinos and loved traveling with his family. He was a handyman and enjoyed working in his yard.
