Stephen B. Chullickel, 66, of Newington, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Philomina (Mavumkal) Chullickel for 38 years. Born in Alleppey, India, son of the late Bernard and Juliet “Chinnamma” Chullickel, he came to the U.S. in 1993 and lived in NY before becoming a Newington resident 10 years ago. Stephen was a member of Holy Spirit Church in Newington and enjoyed reading and spending time with his family, especially gardening with his beloved wife. He was an extremely hardworking and strong-willed man who fought a hard fight until the end. Along with his wife, a loving father, he leaves his son Kenneth Chullickel of Seattle, WA and Julee Chullickel of Stratford. He also leaves his two siblings Sebastian “Kuttan” Chullickel and his wife Alice of Bombay, India and Mary Baby and her husband Baby of Cochin, India, and many nieces and nephews.
