Growing up with a father in the Air Force, Steve lived abroad in France and Germany, and domestically in Alaska, Virginia, Florida and California.  Following high school graduation, Steve attended college in Washington, DC.

In 1972, Steve married Linda Berger, the love of his life, while working at Everest and Jennings in California. While caring for son John (from a previous marriage) they had two children Kristy and Cara. He is a grandfather to five loving grandchildren: Cassie, William, Kyle, Charlie and Jackson.

Steve had many successful jobs in his career and in 1992 bought his own business, Specialty Millwork in Boise, Idaho.

When Steve and Linda weren’t filling their passports with stamps from Switzerland, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Italy, Russia, Estonia, Panama and more, he was fishing in his backyard or taking trips to his favorite spots at CJ Strike or Lucky Peak. He also had a passion for classic cars, owning a 1969 Corvette.

He was on the board of directors of the Meridian Food Bank for many years where he impacted the lives of many people in the community.

Steve is survived by his wife Linda; son John Heffner; daughter Kristy Hilton (with husband Bill); daughter Cara Greek (with husband Jeremy); grandchildren Cassie, William, Kyle, Charlie, and Jackson; niece Stephanie Cornell and family; and niece Marisa Roberts and family.

Steve will be missed by many loving friends and family.
