Those left to honor Stella’s memory include her three sons–Marvin (Sharon) Van Sickle of Newton, Robert (Judy) Van Sickle of Laurel, Iowa, and Gary (Cindy) Van Sickle of Newton; her daughter, Carol (Rodger) Wall of Newton; twelve grandchildren–Rebecca, Janell, Daniel, Darin, David, Tim, Chris, Lori, Andrea, Stefanie, Jeremy, and Natalie; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her brother, Chuck (June) Davis of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; two sisters–Virginia Beery of Des Moines, and Margaret Daniels of Winterset; three brothers-in-law–Jerry Trevillyan of Winterset, Keith (Evelyn) Van Sickle of Newton, and Ole Van Sickle of Truro; and many nieces and nephews.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Stella (Comer) Davis, and her step-mother, Sadie (Cashman) Davis; her husband, Roy; three brothers
Stella graduated from Lorimer High School. She had taught country school for a few years and also cleaned houses.
