Stella life’s journey began on April 21, 1952 in Danville, Alabama as a gift of God to Frances Orr and the late Clarence Oneal Orr and the late Vera and Waymon Taylor. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Parkway Campus.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Oakville Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend Willie Walter. She later united with Redeeming Love Outreach Ministry.

Stella received her formal education in Lawrence County School System and was a 1970 graduate of Moulton High School. She saw the importance of education and attended Calhoun Community College where she received her nursing degree.  She worked as a nurse for several years in various skilled nursing facilities and the Morgan County Jail until becoming disabled.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera Mae and Waymon Taylor and Clarence Oneal Orr.

Those left to cherish her memory are: two daughters, Cheri Burton-Crutcher (Keevin) of Hillsboro and Kenyatta Toshiba Burton of Decatur; stepmother, Frances Orr of Hartselle; three brothers, Gary (Donna) Orr of Hartselle. Keith (Paula ) Orr of Danville, Emmanuel “Tandy” Orr of Decatur; three sisters, Millicent ” Teda” Orr and Betty (Casey) Agner both of Hartselle and Victoria Orr of Birmingham; two granddaughters, Cahgan Jade Taylor of Moulton and Yestyn Saje McCaskey of Hillsboro and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
