Stella M. Jachim, 94, of New Buffalo, Michigan, died peacefully Tuesday night, August 13, 2008 at her home. Stella was born on February 12, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Mary (Slezewski) Regula. On June 23, 1934 she married Edward Jachim who preceded her in death in 1975. Stella was a member of the St. Mary of The Lake Church in New Buffalo and was an active member of the altar and rosary society.
She had a passion for gardening and enjoyed crocheting in her spare time. Stella is survived by her sons, Anthony of Tavares, Florida, Edwin (Margaret) of New Buffalo, Joseph (Veronica) of Bloomington, Indiana, and James (Barbara) of North Canton, Ohio. Stella was the proud grandmother of eight; great grandmother of ten; and great great grandmother of three. She was preceded in death by her brothers Raymond Regula, Bernard Regula and sister Helen Regula.
