Steave was born on December 18, 1963, in Fort Benning, GA to the late Donald L. Morphew and Sandra J. (Rose) Morphew.
Growing up, Steave enjoyed fishing with his siblings and playing baseball and football. He remained an avid sports fan throughout his life, his team favorite being the Indiana University Hoosiers. Steave also liked different kinds of racing, from drag racing to his yearly attendance at the Indy 500, with best friend, Kent Collins.
Steave loved spending time with family and friends. He was known for his funny sense of humor, his sometimes-charming stubbornness, and his ability to bring laughter into conversations. He will be dearly missed.
Steave is survived by his three beloved children, Hannah R. Morphew, Haley J. Morphew, and Christian L. Morphew; grandson, Hudson M. Hilliard (Haley’s son); siblings, Deborah (Morphew) Houston and Kevin S. Morphew; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Steave was preceded in death by his parents Donald L. and Sandra J. (Rose) Morphew and two sisters, Donna J. and Hope Leann Morphew.
